Are you a travel agency or a booking site?
No. We find the deals and email them to you. You book directly with the airline or a travel site, the same as always. We never touch your booking or add fees.
How does FarePounce find these fares?
We scan prices out of your home airports around the clock and compare each fare to what that route usually costs. When a price drops far below normal, it becomes a deal candidate.
How do you make sure a deal is real?
Before any deal goes out, we check the price live, right then. We only send round trips with at most one stop, on routes where we have enough price history to know the fare is truly low. Each email shows when we last checked the price.
How many deals will I get?
On the free plan, you get one email on Thursdays with the best one or two deals from your airport. On Premium, it depends on your airports, since bigger airports see more deals. On days with deals, you get one email at 7 AM Eastern with the best new ones, up to five. Exceptional fares, 60% or more under the usual price, come right away as a Pounce alert. No deals means no email, so we never fill your inbox with filler.
Which airports can I pick?
Premium members pick up to three US home airports, for example your main airport plus one or two nearby. Free members pick one. You can change them any time from the link in any FarePounce email.
Do you send domestic or international deals?
Both. After you join, tell us whether you want domestic, international or both, and we tailor your emails to match.
Can I choose a specific destination?
We don't track single routes, because the best deals are often to places you weren't searching for. When you join, you can pick up to three dream regions, and we put deals to those places first.
Why sign up if I have no travel plans right now?
Most of our deals are for trips months out, and great fares show up when you least expect them. Members often plan a trip around a deal instead of the other way around. Being subscribed means you see the fare before it's gone.
How long do deals last?
Anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Most US airlines let you cancel within 24 hours for free, so you can grab the fare first and plan after.
Are the deals economy or business class?
Economy fares you pay for in cash, domestic and international. Premium-cabin deals you can book with credit card points are in the works, and members will hear about them first.
What's the difference between Free and Premium?
Free members get the best one or two deals a week from one home airport, a day after Premium members see them. Premium members get every deal from up to three airports the moment we find it, plus instant alerts for fares 60% or more under normal. The best fares often last hours, which is why Premium gets them first.
What does it cost?
The free plan costs nothing. Premium starts with 7 free days. After that, founding members pay $39 for their first year (the first 500 members only, about $3.25 a month), then $59 a year. That's about the price of one checked bag.
Can I try FarePounce for free?
Yes, two ways. The free plan needs only your email and home airport, with no card. Premium starts with 7 free days. A card is needed to start the trial, but you won't be charged until it ends, and we email you 2 days before it does.
What if I don't save money?
You're covered by our 30-day "save or it's free" guarantee. If Pounce doesn't send you a deal that saves more than you paid, email us within 30 days of being charged and we'll refund you in full.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, from the link at the bottom of any FarePounce email. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing. Cancel later and you keep Premium until the end of the year you paid for. After that you move to the free plan, and you can unsubscribe from that in one click too.
